What are the race start times?
The Marathon will start at 7:30am,1/2 marathon will begin at 8:00am, 1/4 marathon will begin at 8:10am, and 5KRun/Walk will begin at 8:20am.
How long will the course be open?
The course will close at 1:30pm
Is there a minimum age to participate?
No, all ages are welcome to participate
Where do I park?
Parking will be at the Kuester Island Parking Lot. Directions to this lot are HWY 33 to Main Street in West Bend. Go North on Main Street for 1/2 mile. The Parking Lot is on the EAST side of Main Street. Overflow parking will be at Regner Park which is located across the street from Kuester Island Parking at 800 North Main Street.
Where is the start line?
The start line will be BEHIND the River Shores building located at 705 Village Green Way, Suite 201--an easy walk from where you will be parking your car.
How many aid and water stations will be available?
There will be plenty of aid stations stocked with water and Powerade. Portable toilets will also be available along the course. Runners that need medical attention can stop at Aid Stations for help. Trained medical professionals will be available. Gu energy packs and sliced oranges will be available at some of the Water Stations and the Start/Finish line!
Where/ when do I pick up my race packet and will there be course talks?
Packets may be picked up on Saturday, April 23rd from 3-6 p.m. at the Cast Iron Apartments, 611 Veterans Avenue, West Bend, 53090.
There will also be packet pick-up available the morning of the race at the same location from 6:30 a.m. to approximately 8 a.m.
Can someone else pick up my packet if I can't make it?
Yes, please have them bring your name and date of birth
Who is doing the timing?
It's Race Time will be joining us as official timers of our event again this year.
I registered but am no longer able to participate. How do I get a refund?
Registration fees are not refundable. Transferring your registration to another individual may be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact email@example.com
Can I change my registration?
Yes, however switching from a longer distance to a shorter distance will not result in a refund in the registration fee difference. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Is there a late fee for same day registration?
Yes. A late fee of an additional $10 will be charged for any registrations made on April 23rd or April 24th. Online registration closes at noon on April 21st. T-shirts are not guaranteed for late registrations.
Can we register as a team or group?
To register a large group, contact Mary at email@example.com for assistance. A team option is not available this year.
Can I use a MP3 or other musical device?
Yes, but, if you choose to use one, we ask that you assist us in ensuring all participants are safe and that your co-participants have the opportunity to meet their individualized race goals.
Where can my family or friends stop along the course to cheer me on?
There are 4 great stops along the course that have parking available for spectators to stop and wait for you to pass. See the map for more detailed information but the spots are:
- Campbellsport Drive in Campbellsport (full marathoners only)
- Hwy H in Kewaskum (Near Dairyland Seed) (Full and 1/2 marathoners only)
- Hwy 28 in Kewaskum (Full and 1/2 marathoners only)
- Newark Avenue in West Bend (Near Lighthouse Lanes) (all participants)
Should I stop to smell the flowers on the trail?
If you do, please be careful!! There are poisonous plants, such as poison ivy, along the trail. We encourage you to follow the course and stay on the trail!
What about bugs?
Bugs also like to smell flowers. Please remember your bug spray!
Will there be police at busy intersections?
There may be police at some of the intersections however, runners should NOT expect law enforcement to stop traffic and course volunteers are not authorized to stop traffic. The majority of the course is on the trail however, when the trail crosses roads or when participants are off the trail the roads are OPEN and the rules of the road prevail. Volunteers and law enforcement will assist you when possible but it is your responsibility to ensure your safety particularly when crossing roads or not on the trail.
Will there be mile markers and turn around point markers?
Yes, the mile and turn around point markers will be located on the course. Additionally, volunteers with signage will be located at the turn around points.
Where is my timing chip?
Your timing chip will be on the back of your bib. Please leave these chips on your bib and place the bib on your stomach.
No, due to security issues, there will not be a bag drop available. Please make other arrangements for your personal items. Shower facilities will not be available.
